Founded in the early 1900’s, we traded successfully as a family business undertaking work in all areas of the construction industry, including care homes, residential, education, health, commercial, leisure and industrial projects.
We are still family owned today with Mark Barrett heading up as Chairman and son Will operating as Managing Director.
After obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management, Will has over 18 years industry experience having worked within every area of the build process. He is dedicated to strengthening strategic and effective relationships with clients, maintaining our values, keeping integrity and quality at the core of every project. Will took over the mantle of MD two years ago.
With over 33 years within the industry, Chris is a highly experienced Operations Director. Chris plays a huge role within the company both on and off site. He ensures that projects are delivered on time and to budget without loss of quality. He is also responsible for Health and Safety, and driving sustainable initiatives such as local employment and apprenticeships.
With over 23 years working on the commercial side of construction, Jamie has a proven track record of providing value for money for clients through market testing and value engineering. He provides excellent customer service from pre-construction to completion. Jamie manages all our surveyors and works closely with the finance team and contracts managers.
Business Development Manager
With a background in sales and marketing, Sarah is responsible for all external and internal written communications at Francis. Her remit includes branding, newsletters, PQQs and tender submissions as well as developing future opportunities for the business.
